The Effect of Lumbar Stabilization Exercise Using Pressure Biofeedback on Academy Teacher with Low Back Pain

Abstract
PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of biofeedback, verbal feedback training of lumbar stabilization exercise performed by intensive academy teacher.

METHOD: The research design of this study was nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The subject were thirty persons fifteen academy teacher were assigned to biofeedback training group, fifteen academy teacher to verbal feedback training group. The data collection was performed from July 20th to August 30th, 2010. The subject participated in lumbar stabilization exercise training for 3 weeks.
Biofeedback, training group were instructed for lumbar stabilization exercise using, 30 minutes three a week, verbal feedback training group were trained through verbal feedback based on anal inspection and vaginal palpation.

RESULT: (1) Verbal feedback group, the experiment of the control group before and after the sling holding time compared to the results showed no statistically significant difference(p< .05). (2) Pressure biofeedback group, the experiment of the control group before and after the results were compared VAS showed no statistically significant difference(p< .05). (3) Pressure biofeedback group, the experimental group before and after the sling holding time compared to the results showed no statistically significant difference (p< .05).

CONCLUSION: Verbal feedback and Pressure biofeedback Lumbar stabilization exercise is effect on decrease of pain for lumbar pain academy teacher.
